Do you like cereal? You are in luck! Tomorrow opens Kellogg’s NYC (1600 Broadway, New York, NY.) Right on Times Square.
I already went to see if it’s worth a visit. And it is!
A visit is an experience. You can costumize your own bowl of cereal or choose from special bowls with names like: ‘Berry me in green tea’, ‘the circus’ or ‘the chai line’. I chose ‘The corny blues’. Corn pops, blueberry Jam, Lemon Zest and a pinch of salt. Very sophisticated for a bowl of cereal. You can take a look here, if you want to be sure they have your favorite toppings.
After you ordered (credit cards only!) you’re given a buzzer. When it goes off, you can take your order out of a cabinet.
Kellogg’s NYC is surprisingly green. Everything is served in biodegradable paper bowls, and the spoons are made of a biodegradable, corn-based plastic.
The design is very clean and tranquil. Because they believe that an experience speaks louder than a bilboard on Times Square, and I think they are right. The artist Steven Fragale made beautiful posters in chalk.
They are open from 7 am until 11 pm, because it’s always a good time for cereal…
With love from New York,
PS. Every bowl comes with a toy!
